Members of the Ministry of Interior, the traffic police, in the next week as part of the international organization TISPOL-network traffic police will implement the action enhanced control the speed of movement of vehicles.
The action will be implemented in all parts of the country who are working in the frame of TISPOL 28 EU countries, including Switzerland, Norway and Serbia.
Within the action on Wednesday 19 April, will be conducted akciajta “Speed ​​Marathon”, where the speed measured 24 hours continuously with handheld radar, radar systems of video surveillance and devices for measuring the speed of vehicles without insignia police – interceptors.
Each controlled driver will be alkotestiran while traffic police also during the stopping of any vehicle that would exceed the permissible speed, will control and the use of seat belt restraint as the driver and the passengers on the way which foresaw the vehicle manufacturer.
According to research published European Council for Traffic Safety, the increased speed of the road for only 5 percent leads to an increased number of accidents with death by more than 20 percent.
According to the same survey, the use of seat belts reduces the risk of death in traffic accidents by about 50 percent.
